This award is named in honor of Ira Salkin, who was one of the founding members of ISMTE whose goal was to ensure editorial office professionals are educated and vigilant in matters of publishing ethics.  

The Jason Roberts Founder’s Award recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary steps toward defining the future of peer review and editorial office management and development.  

The ISMTE Award for Achievement or Innovation recognizes members who proactively suggest and implement exemplary or innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives.
