Awards Committee
Purpose
To promote ISMTE membership by recognizing those ISMTE members who have demonstrated editorial industry excellence and innovation, and to encourage professional development among our members
Scope
- Create and maintain an awards nomination process in coordination with ISMTE staff
- Evaluate award categories for relevance to ISMTE’s mission and recommend modifications or additions of award categories, as appropriate.
- Create and participate in the marketing plan for disseminating information about nominations and awards, including the creation and updating of promotional text for monthly newsletter, website, social media, EON, and other channels
- Evaluate nominations and forward award winners to Board for final approval
Meetings
The Awards Committee will conduct business through an ongoing schedule of conference calls, generally held on a monthly basis, as needed.
