The 3rd Student Journal Symposium will be held April 23-24, 2026, as a hybrid event at the George Washington University. Both days will hybrid, with in person and virtual speakers and attendees.
We expect to hear from ~35 student journals from ~30 universities, including students, faculty, librarians, and others involved in literary, research, and specialized journals at the undergraduate and graduate level.
At the 2nd Student Journal Symposium, held in May 2025, we heard from 73 undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, administrators, academic librarians, and publishing professionals, collectively representing 34 undergraduate and graduate student journals from 28 universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The Student Journal Symposium received a Silver Award, in the category of Publishing Education and Training Initiatives, and the GW Journal of Ethics in Publishing received a Gold Award, in the Student Journal category, at the inaugural EPIC Awards, at the 2025 SSP Annual Meeting.
