ISMTE 15-Year Anniversary Celebration Wrap Up

What a year it’s been! We couldn’t have done it with all our ISMTE members. On behalf of the entire 15th Anniversary Committee including Kim Retzlaff, Michael Willis, and Mary Miskin, we wish to thank our members for participating in our time capsule and photo contest, reading our EON Throwback Thursday posts, listening to our new ISMTE Podcast Series, and attending various webinars throughout the year.

The ISMTE has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2007 as a fledgling society. It has proven its value not only to members but within the broader scholarly publishing community by educating and blazing trails on emerging topics in publishing. We hope you will find the time to check out our graphical timeline highlighting key milestones in ISMTE’s history and to continue to engage with us in the many ways offered by the society.

We’d like to congratulate the time capsule winners, Kristie Overstreet and Erin Landis. We received more than 100 photo submissions reflecting ISMTE’s expansive history, many of which will be included in the time capsule. We look forward to celebrating with you in person and virtually during our upcoming meetings.
