This workshop will explore journal reporting in depth. Part 1 will focus on best practices in reporting. Kristie Overstreet with Origin Editorial will walk us through a number of tasks identified as best practices and how they are applied in real world situations. In part 2, Lindsey Brounstein with the AGA institute will give a hands-on demonstration in ways to use Excel to interrogate the data gathered in part 1 of the exercise. She will also explore options for the graphical display of data. In the final section of the workshop a panel (Zachary Dourafei, Journal of Neuroscience and eNeuro, Society for Neuroscience; Sarah Forgeng, Journal of Investigative Dermatology; and Emily Babcock, J&J Editorial) will review how they use their submission systems to extract data needed to generate reports. Roundtables will conclude the session in the time remaining.
