experience in pharmaceutical-related work across the value chain. Of 14
years specialising in
medical writing, 5 years have been in pharmaceutical
regulatory writing and 9 years in medical communications.
She is responsible for the scientific and editorial leadership of MIMS
MedComms’ publication business, a team of APAC-based writers and contributing
to regional

Katsu Arai started his career in the travel industry and joined Elsevier Science & Technology in 2006 as an account manager. He moved to Springer in 2009 and worked in various key positions such as negotiations with university consortia and corporate market development until 2018, and after the merger with Nature, he became APAC director of Springer Healthcare. Since 2019, he has served as general manager of Envision Pharma Group Japan and life science director of CACTUS Communications, and was involved in medical communication fields such as clinical trial publications when . He joined Wiley in October 2020 and currently serves as Vice President Institutional Sales APAC and Middle East North Africa Central Asia. He also is Vice-chair of the STM Association Japan Chapter. He spent seven years in the US and graduated from the University of West Scotland (formerly Bell college). |  | Paul Glasziou Australasian EQUATOR CentreProfessor Paul Glasziou is Director of the Institute for Evidence Based Healthcare, and was director of Oxford University's Centre for Evidence-Based 2003-2010. His research focuses on improving the clinical impact of publications by reducing the more than $100 Billion annual loss from unpublished and unusable research. |

 | Vun-Sin Lim Journal of Thoracic Oncology & member ISMTE Asia Pacific Advisory CouncilVun-Sin Lim is the managing editor for the Journal of Thoracic Oncology (JTO), the official journal of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC). Previously, she managed the IASLC open access journal, JTO Clinical and Research Reports (JTO CRR). She has years of research experience in cancer drug discovery and development and strong interests in scientific communications. Before joining IASLC, she worked in research for novel treatments in solid tumors and leukemia at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and early phase clinical trials at Mayo Clinic. Outside of work, Vun-Sin enjoys easy hikes and exploring great food, cute cafes, art galleries and live music. |
About Office Hours ISMTE Office Hours are virtual, one-hour informal events where a single topic is discussed by the attendees.
