Managing editors are responsible for the operations of a publication or several publications, and oversee contributors, peer reviewers, editors, and other production personnel. In this Publishing CareerBuilder, we’ll hear from a panel of experts in managerial editing. You’ll learn about their day-to-day responsibilities, career trajectory, and involvement in the industry. You’ll also learn about opportunities in the field, the skills that are required, and lessons on how you can build your career as a managing editor and become a successful leader in the field.
Panelists Meghan McDevitt, Managing Editor, Origin Editorial, and President ISMTE; Jason Roberts, Senior Partner, Origin Editorial; and Emma Shumeyko, MPS, Senior Managing Editor of PNAS and PNAS Nexus, and Director, CSE, will will share their insights about the field and ways to get involved in the community.
