Publisher and Editor-in-Chief transitions can be disruptive, intimidating, overwhelming, and time-consuming to organize. Despite this, it’s an inevitable part of scholarly publishing. In this webinar, we discuss best practices for facilitating these transitions that we believe will benefit all ISMTE members and attendees. From timelines to organizational strategies to contract negotiations, this session provides strategies regarding what to expect and how to facilitate your own smooth transition.

We welcome Editor-in-Chief, Neurosurgery Publications, Dr. Douglas Kondziolka; Executive Publisher of Journals, Oxford University Press, Terry Materese; and Lead Publisher, Wolters Kluwer Health, David Myers, as our guest speakers.

The session will be moderated by Caitlyn Trautwein (Journal Editor, Neurosurgery) and Phaedra Cress (Executive Publisher, Journals, Aesthetic Surgery Journal and ASJ Open Forum). After the presentations there will be plenty of time for Q&A with attendees and we welcome your questions in advance.

Plan to join us early and/or stay late to network and share ideas with other participants in our event platform Airmeet.

Registration deadline: October 4, 2022
