Many of us work with groups of subject matter editors who serve on Editorial Boards or Advisory Boards for our publications. The responsibilities of Editorial Board members can vary from serving as Guest Editors for an article if there is a conflict of interest to reviewing a specific number of articles per year. Often, individuals serving on an Editorial Board work as volunteers, connecting with other members of the editorial team only during the annual Editorial Board meeting. What role can editorial office professionals play in helping to increase engagement between Editorial Boards and the core editorial team to ensure mutual benefit? This ISMTE Office Hours is an opportunity to share your own experience and to hear from other ISMTE members about what worked (or what didn’t!).
