Join us on March 30th at 10:00 AM EST for an hour-long webinar on improving the reader experience. We’ll hear case studies from two publishers on their innovative projects to broaden the accessibility of their publications. Dr. Stephanie S. Rosen, Accessibility Strategist and Librarian for Disability Studies at the University of Michigan Library, will discuss the technology used to make their publications more accessible, including their collaborations with authors to ensure accessibility is incorporated early in the process. Jessica L. Striley, Journals Production Manager at NEUROSURGERY Publications, will talk about their Speaks! Project—which offers audio abstracts in multiple languages that are translated and read by native speakers—and provide details on how they get the material from the raw files to published content. The presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
Plan to join us early and/or stay late to network with other participants in our event platform Airmeet. Registration deadline: March 29
Speakers:
Moderated by: Alyssa Conaway, Publishing Specialist, ASTM INTERNATIONAL
