Demystifying the Poster Process
Share |

Did you miss...

(You don’t have to be a scientist to prepare and present a poster)

You can still listen to the session by clicking the link below and providing your name and email address.

Have you hesitated to submit a poster to the ISMTE Meeting? In this webinar we will demystify the poster process. You will hear from the poster committee about the types of posters considered and how they are judged. Past poster winners and presenters will discuss how to come up with a poster idea, basics on how to do a study, and effectively presenting your results.

Specifically, we’ll discuss:

  • Mechanics of the poster process – what types of of posters are considered; how they are judged; poster awards; responding to reviews; suggestions for getting your point across

  • “New Idea” posters - What problem were you trying to solve? What actions were taken? How do you know it was or was not effective? How translational are your findings? Can they be applied to other journals in other fields?

  • Data-driven (research) posters - You don’t need to be a researcher to do a poster; How do you get the information needed?; Is there enough information?; How to present your data effectively.
