Breakout I
From Clay to Bricks:  Data Sharing, Citations, and Transparency
Jen Mavzer - Consultant, Coronis Group

From GDPR compliance to the ICMJE data sharing policy, the open data spring is in full swing. With calls for transparency and reproducibility gaining traction, many scholarly journals are looking to formalize data sharing policies—often without recourse to best practices enshrined in the research communities they serve. This session will provide a background of the open data landscape with a focus on current editorial challenges in data integrity, sharing, citation standards, and infrastructure.

Monica Leigh - Senior Managing Editor, KWF Editorial
Lindsey Mitchell - Assistant Managing Editor, American Cancer Society
