ISMTE offers this FREE webinar: “Supporting Peer Review with New Technology Tools.” Join us on Thursday, February 20 at 12:00 noon Eastern. We are pleased to feature the following panel of presenters who will discuss:

Global scientific output is increasing and at the same time article submissions are becoming more complex with higher page counts, more detailed figures and more robust data sets. This exponential increase in experimental complexity places new demands on the publishing ecosystem and the peer review process. Can we expect referees to spend the additional time analyzing  these complex figures, datasets and code? Are they equipped to do this work? Compounding these trends, an increasing number of reviewer invitations are being sent and declined for an increasing number of manuscripts.

Many new technology solutions are attempting to streamline the peer review process by providing different degrees of automation to parts of the process. This session will bring together three providers of technology solutions to discuss how they envision these new workflows and publishing tools working in tandem to help alleviate the increased burden on peer review.

Presenters Include:

Thomas Lemberger, Deputy Head of Scientific Publications, Chief Editor, Molecular Systems Biology, European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO)

Neil Blair Christensen, Sales Director, Americas, UNSILO

Erika Pastrana,

Norma Roberts, Implementation Project Manager, Clarivate Analytics
