ISMTE Resources

Share Your Knowledge

ISMTE intends to launch a new feature within a revamped Resource section of ismte.org: a repository of articles published by members on any aspect of peer review and its management. If you have an article that we could either host or link to please contact Jason Roberts at journal@ahsnet.org.  Articles could be from a peer reviewed publication or an organizational newsletter.

Articles from ISMTE's EON will be stored elsewhere on the Society website.

Join ISMTE on LinkedIn

A new ISMTE Group has been created on LinkedIn. If you are a LinkedIn user, simply sign up to the group and make connections with your peers. If you are new to LinkedIn it only takes a second to join - it is free.

To find the ISMTE group go to www.LinkedIn.com. Then from your profile page, go to the search box in the upper-right. It defaults to the People search setting. Use the down arrow to pull up the menu of options, select Group, and search for "International Society of Managing and Technical Editors."

Once you have located the ISMTE group, click Join This Group and fill out any specifications regarding notifications of updates.  Then, hit the blue Join Group button.

Once you have joined, make sure you take time to set up connections with your peers.  We look forward to connecting with you on LinkedIn!

COPE: Committee on Publication Ethics

COPE is a forum for publishers and editors of peer-reviewed journals to discuss issues related to the integrity of work submitted to or published in their journals. It supports and encourages editors to report, catalogue and instigate investigations into ethical problems in the publication process. COPE aims to define best practice in the ethics of scientific publishing and to assist authors, editors, editorial board members, readers, owners of journals and publishers. On the COPE Flowchart page, COPE has given ISMTE permission to share their greatest resource and certainly its most practical, the 17 flowcharts that provide algorithms for editors to follow when they suspect publication misconduct. We have provided a complete listing of the 17 flowcharts and download link to the PDF.
