About the Keynote Speaker

Michael Clarke is the Executive Vice President for Product and Market Development at Silverchair Information Systems. In this role he leads Silverchair’s development of next generation semantic tools and platforms for STM and scholarly publishers. Prior to joining Silverchair, Michael was the founder and principal of Clarke Publishing Group, a consultancy specializing in electronic publishing. Before founding Clarke Publishing Group, Michael held positions at the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the University of Chicago Press. Michael holds degrees from the University of Chicago and the University of Colorado. He is a frequent contributor to the Scholarly Kitchen.
